Obituary of Aldo Francesco Lot

LOT, Aldo It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of a great man, who was embraced by God at the age of 80. Born in Cave del Predil (Udine), Italy, on July 6th, 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Aldo passed away May 2, 2011 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Ida (Mauri) with whom he shared 58 years of love and marriage . Devoted father to his daughter Sandra and husband Loreto Fiorini, son John and wife Martha Lot. Precious Nonno to his grandchildren, Nicholas and wife Melissa Lot, Jonathon and wife Jenna Lot, and Marco Lot. Reunited with his parents Giovanni Lot and Ludmilla (Komac), and brother Bruno Lot. Survived by sister Maria Valas and husband Francesco, and dear brother-in-law to Antonio Mauri and wife Irene. Aldo will be greatly missed by many nieces and great nephews. He will be sadly missed by his very special Alpini Friends Agostino, Carlo, Pietro, Ivo, Rino, Vittorino, Giuseppe, Roberto, Nello and Gino. Aldo devoted his life to his family and blessed everyone with his smile, love, faith, generosity and kindness. He was the founder and owner of Teal Manufacturing since 1962 and will be remembered by many loyal employees and business associates. Aldo was recognized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce (Udine) for his industrial accomplishments as an Italian Immigrant. Aldo was one of the founding members of the Fogolar Furlan Club since 1961 and was one of the founding members of the : ASSOCIAZIONE NAZIONALE ALPINI SEZIONE DI WINDSOR. Parish Prayers Thursday at 4:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 6th, 2011 St. Angela Merici Church ( 980 Louis Ave) for funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. (Please note everyone is requested to meet at the church there is no procession from the funeral home). Following Aldo's funeral mass a procession to Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scalabrini Foundation for the Poor, Windsor Downtown Mission or to the Parkinson's Society.
