Obituary of Ronald George Smith

SMITH- Ronald George After a courageous battlle with cancer Ron passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on March 2, 2011 at the age of 67yrs. Loving husband and best friend of 45 years to Joan (Nee MacRae). Cherished father of Julie Guenette and husband Adrien and Casey Smith (Michelle). Loving Papa of Joey, Angie and Josh Guenette and Ethan Smith. Predeceased by his oldest brother Jack Smith (1966) (Liz Labonte) and survived by brother Murray Smith (Evelyn). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Special friend of Larry Sekersky (Lindy) and he will be missed by his furry white Maggie. Ron retired from Chrysler Canada as an electrician after 25 years of service and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #773 and a member of the Local #444. Ron was a die-hard Windsor Spitfire Fan but most of all he was a dedicated family man who put his family first and loved so much especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday March 6, 2011 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm with a funeral service of rememberance at 8pm. Cremation to follow.
