Obituary of Ilene Clover Cooper

COOPER, Ilene ( nee Sutherland ) It is with heavy hearts that we annonce the sudden passing of our beloved Ilene on November 27, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Cherished wife of Donald sharing 57 years of love & companionship. Devoted mother of Darrell & wife Carol Cooper, Sharon & husband Bob Nightingale and Cindy Anderson & husband Randy Wilk. Loving grandma of Christine Somaia & husband Deven, Michael Cooper, Craig and Jabe Nightingale, and John and Taylor Anderson. Dear sister of Blanche Hill, Clair Sutherland and the late Orville and Karl Sutherland. Ilene will be dearly missed by her sisters in law Bernice, Ileen and Lois , brother in law Bruce and by many nieces and nephews. Ilene was a life member of the Ontario Volunteer Association , she was the First Volunteer Coordinator at Hotel Dieu Hospital and served many years Volunteering at Hotel Dieu Hospital and Coordinating Fundraisers for Volunteer Services. Her hard work and unwaivering dedication will never be forgotten. Visiting at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home ( Banwell Chapel ) 11677 Tecumseh Rd East ( corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd E ) on Tuesday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Hotel Dieu Hospital - Volunteer Association or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
