Obituary of Ernesto Bortolotto

BORTOLOTTO, Ernesto It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of a beloved Husband, Father, Nonno, Brother and Zio on September 25, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Lovingly remembered by his wife Lucia (nee Cristin) of 58 years. Devoted Father to daughters Mary Lou and husband Gord Gray, Sandy and husband David Muzzatti. Cherished Nonno to Alicia, Anissa, Elizabeth and Jack. Dear Brother of the late Ugo and late wife Lidia, Aldo and Irma, late Bruno and surviving wife Gina, late Mario and surviving wife Delka, Luigino and wife Renza, Augusta and late husband Giuseppe Quagliotto, and the late Luigina. Ernesto will be sadly missed by his Brother and Sister In-Laws, many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Mr. Bortolotto retired from General Motors Trim Plant in 1991 and was a member of CAW Local 1973, Giovanni Caboto Club , Association Trevisani Nel Mondo , Associazione Veneti Nel Mondo. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOMES LTD. ( BANWELL CHAPEL ), 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 ( corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd ) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 7 - 9 pm and Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Anne Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E., Tecumseh) for visitation from 9 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Procession to follow to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for committal services and cremation. In memory of Ernesto, memorial donations to Alzheimers Society of Windsor & Essex County or Italian Handi-Capable Association would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Huron Lodge Home for Seniors and Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital for their compassionate care provided to Ernesto and our family.
