Obituary of Peter Kuzyk

KUZYK- Peter Passed away peacefully on July 16, 2010 at Leamington District Hospital in his 87th year. Loving husband for 63 years to Jennie (Nee Bazan). Loving father of Maureen Jaques and husband Robert. Dear grandfather of David Jaques and wife Genevieve of London, Ont., Donald Jaques and wife Tanis of Stockholm, Sweden and great grandfather of their 4 month old son Lukas Jaques. Predeceased by parents Wasyl & Mary Kuzyk (Nee Beyak). Dear brother of the late Steve & survived by wife Olga, late Lena & her late husband Michael, late Alex & his late wife Vera, Olga Flundra of Cochrane, Alberta her late husband Peter, Eleanor Lytwyn & her late husband John, Sylvia Harrison & husband John all of Dauphin, Manitoba, the late Zenon & survived by wife Sandra of Boyle, Alta.. Survived by many nieces & nephews. Peter was a Veteran of the Armed Services during WW II followed by 8 years service with the Windsor Police & 26 years as an engineer with Windsor Board of Education. Peter was the proud author of 10 published books of poetry which he entitled "Garden of Verse". Peter and Jennie had a passion for their cottage on the South River near Powassan, Ont., which they built in 1968, and where he spent many hours picking & cleaning mushrooms. Peter was an active member for many years of Windsor St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church before joining St. Mary"s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Leamington. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (BANWELL CHAPEL) 11677 Tecumseh Road East on Monday July 19, 2010 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Veterans Services under the Auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee on Monday at 3:00 pm and Panakhyda (Prayers) at 7:30 pm. Funeral services on Tuesday July 20, 2010 at 10:00am in the Chapel. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
