Obituary of Marilyn Joan DeKindt (nee Elmslie)

Died peacefully at Sunrise of Windsor Retirement Community on April 26, 2020. Predeceased by her loving husband Maurice (2017) and by her siblings James, Dorothy, and Marguerite. Will forever remain in the hearts of children, Diane, Denise Montgomery, David (Marion Keith), and Chris (Laurie), grandchildren Melissa, Larry (Amber), Kristen, Joey (Deana), Eric (Nikita), Scott, Tom, Dan (Nadine), Jennifer, Christina, Jack, Kenny, and many great-grandchildren. Many treasured nieces and nephews will miss their beloved Aunt Marilyn. Marilyn was a gifted singer and shared her talent with church and community choirs and several performance art theatre groups. She loved her many friends and enjoyed their spirit and companionship whether bowling, playing cards, or volunteering together in the community. Our family offers our gratitude to the staff and nurses at Sunrise Retirement Community for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Marilyn's life to be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519.253.7234. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: “The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer.
