KOSNIK, Frank. Passed away peacefully at Rose Garden Villa on March 10, 2013 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Ivanka "Yvonne" (nee Puconja). Loving father to John (Janice), Tom (Chantal), Vicky (Dennis Mifsud), Mary-Anne (Colin McLellan). Cherished Grandpa of Shawna (Roger Rai), Natalie, Lindsay, Stephanie, Matthew, Stewart, and Alea. Great-Grandpa to Madison. Last surviving sibling of ten. Frank was very proud of his Slovenian heritage, as evident through his active lifetime membership with the Slovenski Dom. A true hero, Frank fought a very long and courageous battle with Alzheimer"s for 17 years. After WWII he immigrated to Canada from Slovenia with nothing but a dream for a better life. He endured many hardships but his hard work and faith prevailed. He pursued his dreams and his love of horses led him to become a successful harness racer and breeder. He was a member of the OHHA. A true champion, his love of life and positive attitude were inspiring. His heartwarming smile was endearing and all who knew him loved him. Thank you most sincerely to all the wonderful staff and friends at Rose Garden Villa for all your good care and kindness. We know Dad appreciated all you did for him. A special heartfelt thanks to Morgan and Maghan Palmer. You were his angels and your kindness will never be forgotten. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all who helped our father. He was able to witness the fruits of his labour through the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He retired from Chrysler after 35 years of dedicated service and was a member of CAW Local 444. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd.
