Obituary of Basil Patrick Conlon

CONLON, Patrick B. Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2013 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at age of 86. Dear husband of Connie (nee Wanner) for over 56 years. Loving father of Maureen Tamasi & husband Frank (London), Dan & wife Debbie (Cambridge), Chris (Dresden), Ron & wife Mona (Trenton), and Louise Kollmel & husband John (Calgary). Dear grandfather to Andrea (Tyler), Tanya, Sabrina, Amanda, Kayla, Ryan, Lydia, Alyssa, Melyna, Nicole, Michael, Ben and Haley. Son of the late Basil (known as Byng (1967) & Elsie Rose (nee Johnston) (1926). Adopted son of the late Frank & Mary Conlon. Pat served in the United States Military in the Philippines during World War II. He was an active member in the former Ste. Clare Church where he, his wife and another couple formed and led a Prayer Group. He was a commercial pilot, photographer and author of the book "Peace and Hope for You". E. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.a Veteran Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visiting continues on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (466 John St., Port Lambton, Ontario) from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Lambton.
