Obituary of Carole Ann Morneau

It is with considerable sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Morneau at the age of 70. Loving mother to David (Andrea) Morneau Jr., Tracy (Kevin) Robert and forever remembered by their father, David Morneau Sr. Reunited with her son Jason Morneau. Extremely proud grandmother to Tara Elizabeth, Jacy Isabella and Alex David. She lived her life on her own terms, unafraid to speak her mind and unapologetic when she did. She was fiercely independent, strong-willed, quick-witted, generous and loving. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she always brought that compassion to those around her and was a constant advocate for those she felt were in need, wherever she worked. She was very creative and her hidden talents were seen in her home and interior design. She was an avid consumer of Murder, She Wrote, Downton Abbey, Father Brown, true crime and Wal-Mart. She represented strength and was an emotional pillar which shone through, particularly in times of family crisis. She loved animals and her life was never without a furry companion. In short, she will be missed by so many. Beloved daughter of Delia and the late Wilfred Lyons. Cherished (and feisty) sister of Tom (Shirley) Lyons, Kathleen Lyons, Margaret (Michael) Celuch, Fran (Dennis) Spadoni and Phil (Teresa) Lyons. Caring aunt to Sean, the late Derek and Erica Lyons, Jarrod and Adam Celuch, Melissa Angileri, Brett, Blair and the late Devin Lyons, Lauren and Nick Spadoni. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Carole's life, memorial donations may be made to the Child Witness Centre at www.childwitness.com or the Windsor/Essex Humane Society at www.windsorhumane.org. As per Carole’s wishes, cremation has taken place. We will have a celebration of life, but will wait until we can all be together again, to hug and to share memories. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519.253.7234. Online condolences may be shared at www.windsorchapel.com. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: “The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer. This pertains to the entire funeral home.”
