Obituary of Geraldine May Dubs
DUBS, Geraldine May Passed away peacefully at Eventide Home, Niagara Falls, Ontario, on Thursday February 7, 2013, with her niece by her side, Gerry went to be with her Lord at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Francis (Frank) Dubs, (1992). Loving mother of the late Geri-Lou (1948), Paul Francis (1952) and Thomas William (1953). Dear sister of the late Clara MacDonald, Thomas and James Carriere, and Daisy Charlton. Gerry is predeceased by her parents Agnes and William Boyce. She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. A lifelong resident of Windsor, Gerry worked as a Legal Secretary for Bernard Cohen until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of The Catholic Women's League and served on the staff of Bishop Emmett Carter. She volunteered her time with the Ladies Auxiliary of Hotel Dieu Hospital and along with her husband Frank spent many hours dedicated to Special Olympics events. Gerry was a Sultana of the Alhambra, Guzera #72 Caravan and with her husband, assisted in many Knights of Columbus fund raising activities. Resting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234, where the family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. then to St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment and Rite of Committal to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
