I met 'Knobby' Aubrey in hospital this spring (Hotel Dieu) we shared a room on the 4th floor. I was in and out and just now, I am recovering from heart surgery (valve replacement). Knobby had a wonderful sense of humor based on a full life. He loved to tell stories about the North Atlantic and his days in our Navy. He got his nick name boxing in the armed forces. Mr. Walsh was a hero who survived some of the darkest and grimmest hours, our great nation has ever realized. He fought for our rights and freedoms, yet most will never know this. It was a honor to meet this great man and his friendship although short, is treasured. I will continue to pray for God to bless Mr. Walsh's soul and spirit, in Jesus name. God loves a warrior (King David was a warrior) and I know he loves Aubrey Stanislas Walsh, a noble warrior and a great Canadian. Knobby is in a wonderful place, surrounded by love and peace.
