Obituary of Steve Murgic

MURGIC, Steve "Stipe" Born in Perusic, Lika, Croatia on June 22, 1932. Passed away on September 26, 2012 at the age of 80. Devoted husband of 48 and a half years to Kate (nee Jurisic). Loving father of Frank and wife Kelly, and Mike and wife Elizabeth. Cherished grandfather of Luka, Nikola, Anne-Rafa"lle, Daniel. Dear brother of Mile (Rita), Niko (Franjka), Maria (late Peter), and predeceased by Kate, Ivan, and Anna. Steve will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Steve was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Kardinal A Stepinac Council #11774. A special thanks to Henry Ford Hospital CVICU unit, family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and support. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers 7:30 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus prayers. Funeral Services on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund or Crkva Sv. Kriza Building Fund in Perusic, Lika.
