I am deeply saddened and shocked at the passing of my very dear friend Flo. I knew Flo when I first started working at United BBQ when I was only 18. We worked together many days and nights and Flo was like a mother to me. For the ten years we worked together she got me through many ups and downs of being a young woman. But most of all, I remember Flo for her genuine kindness for others and her absolute professionalism in her work. For me Flo was the best in her profession. She was highly respected by all. Flo, may you rest in peace for you deserved the moon. I love you forever. Thank you for being my friend.

Although I only had the pleasure of working with Flo for five months, she made every second of being there amazing. She had the ability of knowing, with just one look, when I felt completely overwhelmed with everything. She would hug me like I was family, smile and say "It'll get better, don't worry." Just her taking that moment and giving it to me was always enough to make it better. I had the rare opportunity to tell her how much she meant to me and how she made a difference in my life, last spring. I have been thanking God that I did get to see her that day, not just because I got to tell her what I needed her to know, but because she gave me that same hug and smile that I will see and feel for the rest of my life. Thank you Flo........love "Alice." :)

We are surprised and shocked, as are all her customers, friends and family. Flo was the best that ever came out of PEI. She will be missed by many, many people. We know she was planning and looking forward to a trip to PEI in August. She arrived there earlier than expected. We shall miss her smile and wit. Our sincere condolences go to the family and particularly her grandchildren, whom she adored.

To the Coffey Family & Friends, My name is Paisley and I was saddened to hear the news of Flos sudden departure. For 17 years I have lived in the Vancouver area and was touched by this loss. I grew up in Windsor and my friend Joan and I met weekly for dinner at the United BBQ Grill downtown. We connected with and became friends with Flo during her shifts there. At that time my name was different and Flo knew me as Sue Ann. The words pleasant, thoughtful and dedicated to service come to mind when I think of Flo. Flo always shared a kind word to make us smile. I remember saying Lets go see Flo and get some pork chops and some pie. Bonding with my friend for these regular girl time meals and updates on the recent whats new was very memorable for me as was seeing Flo at the diner. We often shared tidbits of the juicy news with Flow. Over a ten year period that we went to see Flo at her workplace, she was always an exceptional person, very loving and down to earth. I am sure you will hear lots of stories that echo mine but I felt compelled to send this note. My thoughts and prayers go out to each and every member of the family at this time to offer any type of support from the West Coast of Canada that is possible. I have fond memories and loving healing thoughts that I hope this letter will express. With light, Paisley Town, Vancouver, British Columbia

Barry and I would like to express our sincere sympathies. Flo was our favorite waitress at the Four Season's restaurant on Huron Church. We used to look forward to breakfast as she was one of a kind for sure. We would bump into her at Sir Cedric's every now and again too and loved seeing her familiar face. People like her make your day just that much more special. We bought her a special light house Christmas ornament a few years ago to express our sincere thanks for the wonderful service she provided. We really did consider her our friend. May she rest in peace. Sue & Barry Ouellette
