I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Tommy up at the " Island"... Whenever, we spent time there in the summer , we always knew that Uncle Tommy was willing to overide Dad's ( his older brother Bert's ) overly protective and cautious ways. Uncle Tommy would let us go fishing in his boat with minimal conditions. "just catch some fish!" He was always willing to take the heat from his older brother Bert, when we returned and told Dad that Uncle Tommy said we could! We loved his no nonsense ways.
