Obituary of Amalia Rosaria Piunno

PIUNNO , Amalia Rosaria (nee Timperio) Born on July 8, 1922 in San Giovanni in Galdo, Campobasso, Italy. Passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on April 13, 2020 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Angelo (1991). Loving mother to Lucia Lopez (Francesco) & Osvaldo Piunno (Tammey). Beloved Nonna to Gasparino (Laura), Sergio (Tania), Enrico (Lidia), Angela (Mike), Andrea (Trevor), Michael (Kim), Carlin (Stephanie), CeCeilya and Ryan. Caring Bisnonna to 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Vincenzo Timperio (1983) and Carmela Miozzi (1981). Dearest sister of the late Antoinetta (Emidio), Angelo (Maria), Domenic (Maria) and Marco (Pasqualina). Survived by sister Assunta (Luigi). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Amalia was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. A private family entombment has taken place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: “The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer. This pertains to the entire funeral home.”
