Obituary of Joan Salusny

SALUSNY, Joan (nee Bomersbach) Passed away on May 2, 2012, at Windsor Regional Hospital " Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 75. Beloved and devoted mother of Andy & Sharon Salusny and David Salusny. Proud Baba of Adam (Samantha), Michael, Jennifer, Sheila, and Katherine. Predeceased by her husband Matthew Salusny. Dear sister of Emily Grandy of Placerville California. Predeceased by her parents Stephania & Ladislaus Bomersbach. Joan was an active member of St. Vladimir"s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral where she was a valued member of the church choir. She also enjoyed devoting her time to helping out in all church functions. Joan was also a member of the Ukrainian Women"s Association of Canada - Lesia Ukrainka Branch, Windsor. She retired from G.M. Trim after 30 years of service. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m. Friends are invited to gather at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Donations made in memory of Joan to St. Vladimir"s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
