SAMYN George With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of George Samyn on April 16, 2012. Born September 8, 1931 in Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Beloved and loving husband of 58 years to Liana (nee Cockelbergh). Devoted father of Brenda and husband Fulvio Bernardon. Cherished and much loved Grandpa of his "Pride & Joy", Christopher and Stephanie. Loving brother of the late Germaine and Leonard Loquet, late Jean and Mariette, late Gerard and Lea, Wilhelmina Bytebier and late Jef, late Leonard and wife Christiana, and the late Noela De Helt and husband Gustaf. Loving brother-in-law of the late Alois and Julia Cockelbergh, Louis Cockelbergh and late Georgette, late Melanie and Jef Vercauteren, Lisette Deebusschere and late Albert, late Jozef Cockelbergh and wife Jenny, Rene and Jenny Cockelbergh. He will be sdaly missed by many nieces and nephews in Belgium and Toronto. The family would like to thank Drs. Hirmiz and Kulkarni for their care. George was a skilled carpenter and woodworker. His many designs, projects and pieces of furniture will be treasured always. He loved fishing, gardening, and puzzels. Grandpa, we will keep your memories alive forever. We will definitely miss your humour and playful personality. You always had a quick response, funny comment, and made our lives all the better. Even in your weakest moments, you put your family first and still were able to make us chuckle. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 19, 2012 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd., at Tecumseh Rd., East ) for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Windsor Regional; Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
