As a volunteer for the Pen Pal programme at Extendicare I had the pleasure of speaking with Rose as we composed the letters to the Pen Pal children. Over the past several years Rose and I would visit and decide on the best message , advice, or bit of news for her current PenPal. I also got a glimpse into Rose's life when she was younger. She always spoke proudly of her sons as well. On the day of the children's visits, Rose was always happy to see her little friend, especially this year. There was a close friendship between the two this school year. She will be missed . I am happy to have had the opportunity to work with Rose and call her friend. I will miss our times together.
