Obituary of Elda Lina Barbesin

Barbesin, Elda Lina nee Sartori Passed away peacefully with her family by her side December 24, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Livio (2011). Dear mother of Mary Ann Plourde and husband Norbert of LaSalle, Lino and wife Debbie Barbesin of Windsor. Cherished grandmother of Amanda Plourde and husband Tristan Bentley, Vanessa Plourde and partner Brandon Mousseau of Windsor. Dear sister of the late Peter Sartori (2011) and wife Anna of Windsor, and the late Rina and Alessandro Sartori. Sister in law of Iole and Luisa Fier of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elda was affectionately known as "Nonna", not just by her family, but by many of the people who knew and loved her. She loved animals, especially cats and penguins. Nonna enjoyed many years of card playing, Bocce and going to Caboto Park with her dear friends. She also enjoyed going to the casino with her best friend and sister in law Anna. She always had room for sweet treats after a family dinner and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday December 28th from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday December 29th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church.
