Obituary of Marija Horvat

HORVAT, Marija (nee Zver) Born November 22, 1925 in Hotiza, Slovenia. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 15, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Mihael (1986). Loving mother to Michael Horvat and wife Violet (Ljubica); and Ivan Horvat. Cherished grandmother to Jacqueline and Jason. Dear sister to Ana Dundas, Ivan and wife Zora Zver, and Matilda and Husband Ignac Hamer. Predeceased by parents Marija and Matija Zver; brothers and sisters, Stefan Zver, Katarina Simen, Martin Zver, and Barbara Lozinsek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Croatia, and Slovenia. Marija was a member of Slovenski Dom and St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
