Vince was our next-door neighbour on Oak Avenue during all my growing up years. Our parents, Sid and Elsie, and my siblings, Joan, Fred, and Mary, knew him as one of the best people we ever met, totally generous and loving to everyone. Our Mom and Dad held both him and his mother, (Mrs. Anderson, always, to everyone) in great respect and care. Although we sort of lost touch with them after 1961, we heard that he continued to help his neighbours on Oak, and to spread his good cheer and hope beyond our block to the whole of Windsor. There are not enough people like Vince in the world. Rest in peace, dear friend.
