I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Mario from the days of Mascarin's fruit stand where Marina, Mirella and I worked as kids. I would hear of him over the years through my friend Mirella and I wanted to share that my mom, Anna, also suffered and passed with a brain cancer. This disease not only ravages the individual but also all who loved him. There are no words that can make this better so I will quote what Helen Keller wrote "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose for all that we love deeply become a part of us" and so he will always be a part of you.
