Obituary of Gerald Leroy Lantz

LANTZ, Gerald (Bud) Went to be with his Lord and Saviour, with his family by his side, on September 22nd, 2011 at 86 years of age from Windsor, Ontario. Loving companion for 11 years, Betty Baleka, predeceased by his dear wife, Eileen Lantz, loving treasured father of Mark Lantz (Farmington Hills, Michigan) Dan & Pat Lantz (Essex, Ontario), Cindy & Tim Strome (Cambridge, Ontario), Carol Lantz (Windsor, Ontario), Jill & Laszlo Marton (Bowmanville, Ontario). Gerald (Papa), was the loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren; Kristy, Jeff, Tim, Jonathon, Danielle, Jacqueline, Courtney, Sarah, Melanie, Eric, Scott and Ryan. Great-Grandfather to Dakota-Ray, TJ, Ana-Grace and Cayl. With strength and courage, Bud fought a great battle to the very end. He served in the Canadian Air Force for 3 years. Gerald rode the road of life, with Kingsway Transport for over 43 years. He loved to praise and worship at Parkwood Gospel Temple. Gerald loved to golf, bowl, enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, and the Windsor Spitfires. Gerald"s (Bud, Papa) good heart and generous spirit will be sorely missed Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Saturday, September 24 from 7-9p.m. and Sunday September 25th from 2-5p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday September 26th at 11 a.m. at Parkwood Gospel Temple, 3005 Temple Dr. Windsor, Ontario. Followed by Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations made in memory of Gerald to the Lung Association Essex County are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
