Obituary of Irene Ofner

OFNER, Irene (nee Ravazdi) Passed away peacefully on September 12, 2011 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, at the age of 85. Born in Banovac, Yugoslavia, daughter of the late Sandor & Kristina (Pfeifer) Ravazdi. Beloved wife of Josef Ofner. Loving mother of Joseph Ofner and Ernest Ofner, both of Windsor. Proud grandmother of Danny & his wife Helen Ofner, Nicky Strong and great grandmother of Blair and Joey. Dear sister of Gizela & her late husband Marco Savi and the late Ernest Ravazdi, and sister in-law of Mary & Ludwig Waidman and the late Andy & Anna Ellenberger. Irene will be missed by her nephews Alojz & Blazenka Savi and Ernest & Marica Savi, along with many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives in Canada and Europe. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East 253-7234 on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. then on to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
