Obituary of Elizabeth Popovich

POPOVICH, Elizabeth (nee Cojocar) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Southwood Lakes on July 30, 2011 at the age of 99 years and 28 days. She lived a long and full life, and has gone to be with her Lord. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Elaine and son-in-law John Pretli, she is predeceased by her son Bill (2004). Also surviving her are 5 grandchildren: Michael Pretli, Lisa (Karlos Lima), Lori (Mike Nolen), Mary (Gary Benoit), Cary Popovich; and 9 great-grandchildren: Jack, Chelsey, Trevor, Matthew, Brooke, Jenna, Tegan, Charles & Kennadie. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Inez, numerous nieces and nephews as well as having been predeceased by her 11 siblings. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Visiting continues on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at St. Georges Romanian Orthodox Cathedral (1960 Tecumseh Rd. E.) from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to St. George's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral.
