Obituary of Eileen Anna aka Ailine Anna Lajoie
LAJOIE, Eileen (nee Menard) Born February 13, 1923 in Windsor, Ontario. Passed away peacefully on June 3, 2011 with her family by her side. Loving wife of the late Louis (December 21, 1985). Dearest mother of Dan and partner Joy, Doug, Denise and Bill Salzer, and Dianne and Mike Labute. Loving Mimi of Darian and Paul Paquette, Danielle and Chris Smith, Faith and Jim Laframboise, Rachel, Chris and Lisa, Justin, and Colette Lajoie, Debbie and Mike MacLellan, Gary Salzer, Karen Salzer, Dan, Joelle and Dean Labute. Loving Great Grandmother of Pierre, Jessie, Leah, Rayah, Noel and Christian. Dearest sister of Bernard Menard. Predeceased by the late Vi Bontront (1997), Clara Beneteau (1997), Raymond (1994), Gord (1920), Harvey (1996), Lawrence (1991), Linus "Whitey" (2003), and Alberta Cwik(2009). Special Aunt to Karen Beneteau and many nieces and nephews. Eileen will be missed by many dear friends. Our deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks is extended to Dr. John Greenaway and the entire staff of Oak Park Terrace, North Service Road, for their support, love and tender care of Eileen. Assistance provided by staff from Hospice of Windsor, C.C.A.C. and St. Elizabeth's is also most appreciated. Eileen was a former office employee of the Windsor Separate School Board. She was an avid card player and enjoyed many good years as a member of Riverside Golden Age Happy Hour Club; the Cribbage Club at Legion 244, as well as the Bridge Club at Tecumseh Golden Age Club. Time spent with family and friends was most precious to her. Resting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd and Wyandotte St. E.) on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic, Hospice of Windsor or the Charity of your Choice.
