SWIATKOWSKI Edward Izydor Born April 6, 1924 in Toruniu, Poland-Passed away Windsor, Ontario April 28, 2011. "Eddie" lived life to the fullest, right up to his 87th Birthday, and he shared his joy of living with everyone that he met. He is the dear son of the late Anthony & Karolina Swiatkowski. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Theresa Porter (Fred Anderson), and predeceased by siblings Jennie, Margie, Frankie and Johnny. Dear Uncle to Colleen Porter, Bev Porter (Pat Galand), Mary Lou Pewtoran (Larry). Great Uncle to Clayton & Josh, Aaron & Jocelyn, Miles & Lise, and Vikki. Great Great Uncle to Dylan and Natalie. Eddie was retired, following more than 25 years of dedicated service with Silverwoods Dairy of Windsor, where he was one of the first "Milkmen" to home deliver with the horse and wagon. A Veteran of WWll, Eddie served with the R.C.A.F., in Squadron 97. He was always quick with a joke, and would love to break out in song. His sharing of stories will be missed by his many friends including those at Casino Windsor. The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, for their care and compassion. The family will receive friends at St. Alphonsus Church (85 Park St. East at Goyeau) on Friday April 29, 2011, for Memorial visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass to celebrate Eddie"s life at 10:00 am.
