Obituary of Victor Stevenson

STEVENSON, Victor H. Born Stirling, Scotland December 16, 1933 Passed away Windsor, Ontario March 9, 2011 After a valiant battle with cancer. Vic leaves behind his wife Elaine (Danby), his daughter Lisa (Windsor), sons John and Charlene (Tecumseh), Rick and Amber (Calgary, Alberta). He will also be missed especially by his grandchildren Samantha, Brian and Curtis (Tecumseh) and Leah (Calgary, Alberta). Predeceased by parents John and Mabel Stevenson. Survived by his brothers William (late wife May 2008), Leslie and Barbara, predeceased by his brother John 2006 (wife Betty), and sister Mary (2009). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vic never lost his sense of humour having a smile and a song for all. He was a friend of many stray cats providing food, shelter and spaying. He will also be missed by his cats Pinto and K.C. The family would like to thank the nurses of St. Elizabeth- especially Lisa who was with Vic since he was first diagnosed in 2009, Bayshore who was called in for nights, the wonderful staff of Hospice and the Cancer Centre. At Vic"s request there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #255 (5645 Wyandotte St. E.) on Monday March 14, 2010 from 1:00-4:00pm.
