To my cousin Dodd & his sister Holly... I had been informed by my mother over the past yr how your fathers health status and overall well being was in a most unfortunate state of challenged decline. I wish to convey even in this most humble way,my sincere concordances at such an undoubtedly stressfully emotional time for you to cope with, especially for you Dodd with having had to struggle through efforts to maintain front-line advocacy efforts to support proactive home- care provisions being effectively implemented on your Fathers behalf. Still to this day, I can fondly recall some of numerous shared family vacations both Aunt Maddy, Uncle Jim and my folks; up North at some lovely lakefront lodges in the Muskokas. Back in their day when we were still all very young, both your parents exuded a jovial enthusiastic flare for charismatic comical laughter. They danced so well together as a team and undoubtedly found between them shared hope grounded in a lifetime of mutual support. I pray they are now perhaps gained a peaceful comfort to once more be able to receive loving comfort once more from each other in whatever state of spiritual being may lie ahead... Dear Dodd and Holly, you may not remember me, but I lived at 1544 Hall, next door to your dad. I just saw him at Gord Wises funeral Jan. 2, 2010. and I called him from Cleveland, where I live now. to invite him to My mom's 85th birthday party and he said he was attending, May 15, 2010, but he didn't show up. He showed up my mom's (Edna Cretney) 80th birthday party, not long after your mom passes. He brought my mom a dozen red roses for her birthday. I have a lot of memories of your Dad, he used to help me with my high school home work. and I remember I babysat you and Holly once in awhile at your house. I left Windsor and lived in California, got married and have a son and daughter, both married with kids. We moved to Ohio in 1993, didn't see your dad for years, until recently. I didn't even know he was sick. My mom is going to the wake. You both have my deepest sympathy. Your dad was a real nice, fun guy. I am so sorry. Carol (Cretney) Pudlock

I moved next door to Jim in 1943, I was 8 years old ... the same age as Jim. My birthday was July 1 1935 and we had that in common as well. It was a match. We became best friends and played together for many years. We shared the terror of growing up and making mistakes together,. He has always had a place in my heart and my life story. I am deeply saddened by your loss. Your loss is my loss. He was a very important part of my early life in Windsor.
