Obituary of Santina Bruni

BRUNI, Santina (nee Bianchi) 71 years. Passed away on December 30, 2010 with her family at her side at Malden Park after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Guiseppe Bruni. Loving mother of Ivo, Roberto and Carol (Mike) Daum. Adored Nonna of Bianca and Adrian Bruni. Dear sister of Rosa Mastronardi of Italy and Anna Celenza of Toronto. Dear sister-in-law of Seconda Gentili and Florinda Bruni. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lucia and Antonio Bianchi, sisters Maria Bianchi, Lisa Bianchi, Amelia Franzese and brother Attilio Bianchi. Santina was a member of the Caboto Club Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer coach for the Caboto Specials for many years. Mom came to Canada from Italy by way of her beloved England. Her passion was family and close friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Malden Park Palliative Floor for the care and compassion shown to Santina and her family. East on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Friends and family are received for visiting at Blessed Sacrament Church (3707 Queen St.) on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
