Obituary of Aldo Quagliotto

QUAGLIOTTO, Aldo It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our father Aldo, on December 28, 2010 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Paolina (nee Cressoni)(1992). He will also be sadly missed by his caring companion Margherita Rossi. Loving dad of Valentino (1952), Valentina and Peter, Dolores and Tony, Dave and Deborah. Cherished Nonno of Nicholas, Jordan, Robert and Carson. Dear brother to Piero and Amalia (Windsor), the late Adelio and late wife Luigia, the late Giovanni and his surviving wife Franca, sister Aurora and late husband Angelino. Dear brother in- law to Gina and late husband Cristofero; all of Italy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad worked at International Tool for 18 years and later retired from Nickelson Machine Tool in 1987. Aldo was a long time member of the Trevisani Del Mondo, Giovanni Caboto Club and Caboto Bocciofila. Dad loved making his salami and wine and also enjoyed gardening and traveling. Nonno will also be missed by his three granddogs Rambo, Gizmo and Baggio. Special thanks to Dr. Fortuna and the caring and compassionate staff at C.C.A.C., Hotel Dieu Hospital and Metropolitan Hospital. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. on Thursday December 30, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service on Friday December 31, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Hospice of Windsor or Transition to Betterness.
