Obituary of Matthew David Dobrich

As long as the heart remembers, as long as hearts still care, we do not part with those we love, they’re with us everywhere. Our hearts are heavy as we share the news of the passing of Matthew, Matija, “Beav” Dobrich. The world will miss his infectious smile, eager personality and constant desire to share a good time with friends and family. Born on February 27th, 1992, Matthew passed away on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 at the age of 28. He was the beloved son of Mike and Yvonne (Iric), brother of Nikolas and Daniel and devoted grandson to Baba Beverly. Waiting with open arms in heaven are his Dida Doug, Deda Dusan and Oma Ann. Matthew will be lovingly remembered by his Cic’s, Strinas, Ujnas, Aunts and Uncles and will be dearly missed by his cousins and extended family. Matthew was an avid sports fan (Chelsea, Broncos, Red Wings) and loved nothing more than the opportunity to show off his cooking skills to anyone who would visit him at Chochi’s pizza or Lux diner. His bright personality and care for those closest to him will truly be missed by all. A private family service and funeral was held on Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at Gracanica Church. Friends and family may visit at his final resting place at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery 1100 Division Rd, Windsor, Ontario. A Celebration of Life will be held in Matthew’s memory at a later date. If you so desire, donations may be made to Gracanica Church or to a charity of your choice in his memory. Matthew is now at eternal peace, and we will always hold his memory within us. Please keep your best memories close, as we do, forever in your heart.
