Obituary of Gertrude Eugenie Ziganiuk

ZIGANIUK, Gertrude "Trudy" (nee Piatkowski) Trudy passed away peacefully on September 27, 2010. Beloved wife of 62 years to Steve, Loving mother of Gisele and husband Norbert. Trudy was the only daughter of the late Adolf and Klementine Piatkowski. Devoted "Grams" to Erich and wife Barbara; and grandaughter Elyse. Mrs. Ziganiuk, along with her husband Steve, were longtime members of St. Michaels German Catholic Church, and Trudy was a member of the Catholic Womens League and the Teutonia Club for 50 years. Trudy will be dearly missed by her relatives, the Rutts, Websters, Lyders, Dixons, Wolfs and Hartmanns, and perhaps by no one more than her beloved pet, "Beau". She will be long remembered for her sense of humour, and her outstanding culinary skills. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Sunday October 3, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Sunday at 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends on Monday October 4, 2010 at St. Michaels German Catholic Church ( 2153 Parkwood Avenue, S. of Tecumseh Rd., East) for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass to celebrate Trudy's life at 10:00 am.
