Obituary of Gabriel Joseph Charron

CHARRON, Gabriel J. Passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 6, 2010 at Central Park Lodge at the age of 82 years. Husband of Shirley "Nip" (Renaud). Dear father to Daniel, Thomas and wife Rose-Marie, Gary and wife Nancy, Ken, Richard and wife Debbie, and Jeffrey and wife Emma Jo (E J). Predeceased by his parents Camille and Rachel. Loving grandfather to Michael, Teresa, Christopher, Matthew, Samantha, Neil, Sean, and Sarah. Great grandfather of twins Ashley and Brianna, Connor, Troy, and Owen. Will be missed by brothers and sisters Simonne Petz (late Bill), Gerald (Mollie), Pauline, Joseph (Helen), Adhemar (Ellen), and Jean-Paul (Donna). Predeceased by siblings Marguerite, Roger, Raymond, and Cecile. Brother in law to Patrick Renaud (Joy), James Renaud (Lorraine), and Sister Mary Phyllis (1995). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Gabby was a proud retiree of Bell Canada after 37 years of service and remained involved with the retirees. He was very active in several mental health groups and a volunteer for the Goodfellows as well as a long time member of Most Precious Blood Church. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9pm, Prayers Thursday 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) at 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
