Obituary of Rose Marie Desjardins

DESJARDINS, Rose Marie (nee Lesperance) Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt (Rose Marie Desjardins), passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family March 15, 2020 at 77 years of age. Survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Ervin(Pete) Desjardins. Dear mother of Laurie McCollom, Loving stepmother of Patricia Anger (Jim), Karen Desjardins, Fr. Len Desjardins, Doug Desjardins (Laurie), and Lisa Rindlisbacher (Tom). Sadly missed by her sisters Loretta Cash (Frank), Doris Durocher (Stanley), Elizabeth Maurizio, Juliette Gagnon (Ray), Annette Cullen (Desmond), Margaret Lesperance, and her brother Rick Lesperance (Helen). Rose was affectionately referred to as “Tunny” by her siblings. Predeceased by her parents Zenophil and Olive Lesperance. Rose will also be reunited with her stepson Michael Desjardins, son-in-law Ron McCollom and brother-in-law Nick Maurizio. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. She will be forever treasured by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose was dedicated to her lifelong career with Canada Border Service Agency at Windsor’s Ambassador bridge crossing, where she retired as Superintendent after 30+ years of awarded service. Rose loved her flowers, her home and family gatherings. Forever in our hearts as fond memories of her live on for years to come! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Society Canada (Parkinson.ca). Thanks to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for their exceptional care. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8:30pm. Visiting to continue on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road E., from 10:30am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Tecumseh. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com For the visitation we will be adhering to The Health Unit’s recommendation of no more than 50 people gathering at one time.
