Obituary of Michael Melega

Passed away peacefully in the early hours of March 11, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer at the end of his 82nd year. Dear husband to Glenda for over 55 years. Loving father of Lynne Prsa. Beloved grandpa of Nikolas, Milan, Stefani and Karlo Prsa. Predeceased by brother Ambrose (Janis) Melega and sister Patricia (Michael) Haddad-Cote. Dear brother-in-law of Rayburn (Melba) Dietrich. Michael will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Houston, Kitchener, Comber, Youngstown and Slovakia. Michael was a proud elementary and high school geography teacher with the Windsor Board of Education for over 30 years, as well as St. Clair College. In retirement, he loved his daily workouts at Riverside Family Fitness and his frequent visits to local Riverside businesses. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell) Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at a later date at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
