Obituary of Charles Douglas Jones

JONES, Charles Douglas Passed away peacefully on January 28, 2010 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband to Olive (nee Cottle). Loving father to William Jones and wife Susan. Dear grandfather to Jordana Boutette & husband Chris and Colin Jones & wife Stacey. Loving great-grandfather to Avery Boutette. Dear brother to Robert and wife Marie, Phyllis Pope and her late husband Arthur, the late Gordon and survived by his wife Agnes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Jones started his apprenticeship at the Stratford Beacon Herald and retired from the Windsor Star after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #604, Scottish Rites and the Shriner's. Charles proudly served in the Canadian Army overseas during W.W. II. A private family service has taken place.
