Obituary of Julius Cerget
CERGET, Julius Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, with his devoted family by his side, he fought right to the end, but Mom called him to be with her in Heaven, at the age of 95 years young. Mr. Cerget was born in Slovakia. We are broken hearted, but find comfort knowing he is finally with Mom. Dear husband of the late Gizela (Nee Chamko) (Aug 11, 2009). Dear father to twins John and the late Julius (1934) and Anna (Donald) Hancock. Devoted and proud Grandfather to Christopher (Margaret) Hancock, Kenneth Hancock (1980), Brian (Deanna) Hancock and Laura (Petar) Dobrich. Dear Great-Grandfather to Jessica, Spencer and Forrest Hancock, Garrett, Landis, Brennan and Kendra Hancock, Aleksandar, Danijela and Stefan Dobrich. Dear brother to Margaret Riberdy, Joe Cerget, and the late Tony Cerget. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Dad was one of the founders of St. Cyril and Methodius Slovak Catholic Church, and had worked at Ford Motor Company for 42 years in Quality Controls. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Cyril and Methodius Slovak Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to London Regional Cancer Centre and Leamington District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
