Obituary of Frederick Trewin

TREWIN, Fred Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Reunited with his wife and best friend June. Loving father to June and husband Gregg Girardin, Judy and husband Gerry Thompson, and Fred Trewin. Cherished grandfather to Greg Friest, Jenna Friest and partner Colin Sears and Hayley Girardin. Fred will be missed by his furry companions. He will also be remembered by many of his lifelong friends. Fred was proud to serve on the Windsor Police Force and retired after 27 years of service. Over the years he was a member of The Windsor Police Association Pipe Band, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #12, Trinity Lodge #521 and Moramos Shrine Club. Fred was a professional photographer and expert marksman. Following Fred's wishes a private family gathering and cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME. The family extends an invitation to those who knew Fred at his favourite hang out the Lion's Head Tavern (7880 Wyandotte Street E.) on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. to share your memories.
