SMITH, Nicole (Nee Strain) Passed away on January 1, 2010 at Henry Ford Hospital at the age of 35 years. Beloved wife of Jimmie R. Smith. Adored mother of Jalen Elliott-Strain. Cherished daughter of Blaine Strain (Yolanda) and late mother Elizabeth Cook. Daughter-in-law to the late Jimmie Boone and surviving wife Doris Smith. Loving sister to Chris Strain (Amanda). Stepsister to Tonya Amine, and Artouro Tosti. Survived by aunts and uncles Brenda and Bruce Logan, Lorraine and Wayne Merrick, Deborah Strain, Tina and Ryan Odette, Maryjane Strain, William Strain, and Danny Strain. Dear sister-in-law to Valerie Smith, Jacqueline Smith, James and wife Valeria Smith, Evelyn and Deshaun Smith. Will be missed by Kathy Crowley. Nicole was an employee at the Fairfield Inn, Romulus Michigan. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for set up for Nicole's son Jalen Elliott-Strain.
