Obituary of Fillippo Savoni

SAVONI, Filippo Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2009 at the Regency Park Nursing Home in Windsor. Born to Rosa Di Santis and Antonio Savoni of Ceccano, Frosinone, Italy on November 5, 1916, he was loving father of Maria (Mary) Ceolin and husband David McClelland of Windsor, Francesa (Fran) and husband John Rebellato of Toronto, Rose Bresolin of Toronto, late son Domenico (Dan) Savoni (1988) and wife Mery of Toronto. Beloved Nonno of Lissa and Bruce Barron of Michigan, Mark and Karen Ceolin of Shanghai, Antony Ceolin of Toronto, and Tania Ceolin of Windsor, Devin and Cindy, and Randy Rebellato of Toronto, Joncarl and Angelique, and Christopher Bresolin, and Lissa Danielle and Adam Savoni of Toronto. Great Grandfather of Elizabeth, Paul, Sara, Michaella, Sebastian, Mattea, Jonathan and Adam. Predeceased by his brothers Lorenzo and Antonio of Italy, Vincenzo and Domenic of Michigan and Luigi and Pietro of Windsor. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Filippo came to Canada in 1952 and worked in construction. He was a lifetime member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. E., on Thursday, November 26, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
