Obituary of Francesco Turcano

TURCANO, Francesco Passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on November 7, 2009, at the age of 85 years. Loving husband and best friend of Antonia with whom he shared almost 60 years of love. Loving father of four beautiful daughters, Lucia and husband Filippo Morello, Vittoria and husband Salvatore Guglietta, Maria Grazia and husband Giancarlo Carroccia and Franca and husband Vittorio Davia. Predeceased by parents Antonio Marino and Lucia Turcano and in-laws Giuseppe and Luisa Iannarelli. Cherished grandfather of Daniela (Mario) Possamai, Sonia (Jeremy) West, Rosa (David) Masse, Maurizio (Laura) Guglietta, Lawrence Morello and friend Angela, Jessica and Paolo Davia and Melissa and Matteo Carroccia. Dear great-grandfather of Alyssa, Noah , Cristina and Mia . Beloved brother of Maria (Antonio) Coletta, the late Antonio and wife Raffaella Turcano, Costanza and Achille Marsella, Antonietta Turcano, Lidia Turcano, Orazio and Teresa Turcanco and Merseda and Giovanni DiManno. Loved by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. He was retired from the City of Windsor, Parks and Recreation Dept., after many years of dedicated service, and was a brick layer by trade. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Monday November 9, 2009, from 7 - 9 and Tuesday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Prayers Tuesday at 8 p.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
