Obituary of Regina Piche

Pich" -Sister Regina R.H.S.J. Sister Regina Pich" R.H.S.J. died peacefully at St. Joseph Regional House in Amherstview, Ontario on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 Sister was 102 years of age of which 78 years were spent in Religious Life. Sister Pich" was born in Verner, Ontario the daughter of Fideline Ethier and Arthur Pich"; Sister is predeceased by her parents, 10 brothers and one sister, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Over her long career in Windsor Sister served in a number of capacities at Hotel-Dieu Hospital. She was a nurse in the medical and surgical departments of the hospital and later served as Supervisor in the Surgical Unit, the Admitting Office, and the Pharmacy. Upon her retirement from nursing in 1972 Sister Pich" worked in Pastoral Care for the next 20 years. In 2005 Sister Regina was transferred from the RHSJ Community in Windsor to their Regional House in Amherstview, Ontario. Friends & family will be received at Hotel Dieu Chapel 1030 Ouellette Avenue on Monday October 26, 2009 from 9am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am followed by Rite of Committal with prayers at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
