Obituary of Vasile Radu

RADU, Vasile "Bill" Passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2009, with his wife and family at his side, at 82 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Bertha, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Dearest father of Laura and husband Eric Visser, Bob Radu and friend Wendy and Lisa and husband Joseph Klingler. Predeceased by his parents Sharbon and Vera Radu. Will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Helen Chiro and by his brother Arthur Radu and wife Helen, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Bill will also be sadly missed by his wife's family and many friends. Relatives and friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday August 18, 2009, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at St. Vincent de Paul Church (6038 Empress St.) on Wednesday August 19, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
