Obituary of Claire Louise Scarpelli

SCARPELLI, Claire Louise (nee Lappan) Born April 27, 1918 , peacefully passed away on July 18, 2009 at the age of 91 years at Huron Lodge Long Term Care Home. Beloved and loving wife of Charles Scarpelli Sr. for 67 years. Beloved mother of Peter (Barbara), LaSalle; Christine (Rick Martin), Washington Township, MI; Angela (Paul Patrick), Milton ON.; Chuck (Marie-Anne) Windsor, Donald, Essex Community Living, Harrow. Cherished grandmother of David (Carol) Martin and Dawne (John Leaf), both of Michigan; Danny Martin of Colorado; Christina (Cpt. Adam Frey) of Louisiana; Katie ( fiance Santosh D'Souza), Paul John , Timothy and Ben Patrick, all of Milton; Therese (David Cory) of Washington D.C.; Angele, Maria ( fiance Derek LeBlanc) and Charles Scarpelli, all of Windsor. Survived by 8 precious great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Harry and Nellie Lappan and stepmother Ione Lappan as well as brother Esmond and sisters Mae Cushman, Jeannette Hunter and Joanne Glassco. Claire was a member of Sacred Heart Parish CWL for 26 years. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Monday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Monday at 7:00 p.m. Ladies of Immaculate Heart Church Catholic Womens League are invited to meet on Monday at 3:00pm. in the chapel, for prayer service in memory of Claire. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 9:15 from the Windsor Chapel then to Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church for Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Parish. Masses for Claire's eternal rest would be appreciated by the family.
