Obituary of William Albert Bigelow

BIGELOW, William (Bill) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on July 8, 2009 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Mayville) for 53 wonderful years. Loving and devoted father to William H. and wife Darlene, Robert (Bob), Bruce and wife Rose. Dear son of the late William A and Rena (Robert). Loving brother of the late Shirley Dufour, Garnet and wife Irene, Vernon and Cindy, the late Joyce St. Louis and husband Larry, Gail King and husband Gord. Best Papa to William E. and wife Cher, Jonathon and wife Alicia, Bruce Jr., Kristina and Brianne Bigelow and her mother Jill Johns. Bill will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Windsor, Michigan and B.C. Bill was past Grand Knight for Council #9827, a Eucharistic minister, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph the Worker Parish. He was lately a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #9793. Bill enjoyed playing bridge, Spitfire games, fishing and mostly his grandchildren. Many thanks to Dr. R. Wilson, Dr. Dahr, and Dr. Rajkumar who would always put a smile on Bill's face. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, July 10, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. followed by K. of C. 3rd Degree prayers Visitation will continue at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum at Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
