Obituary of Gregory Leonard Ernest Matton

MATTON, Gregory It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Greg on June 15, 2009 at the age of 65. Loving husband of Diane (Simard). Beloved father of Marnie (Nathan) and Erin (Dan). Cherished grandpa of Jessie,Jakob, Mackenzy, Kennedi, Hunter and Taylor. Predeceased by parents George and Aurora Matton. Son-in-law of William Simard and the late Yvonne Simard. Dearest brother of Jeannette Renaud, Linda and Roger Taylor, Glenn Matton, Nancy and Gregg Nantais, Bev Desjardins, George and Terri Matton. Brother-in-law of Pat and Murray Ellerbeck, Robert and Marlain Simard, Allan and Cheryl Simard, Cathie and Richard Tonkin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Greg served in the United States Marine Corp and was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. Memorial visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Service presented under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee at 3:30p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
