Obituary of Henry Schmidt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Schmidt on Thursday, February 13th , 2020 at the age of 76. Henry was born in a Donauschwaben village in Hrastovac and immigrated to Canada in 1948. Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen (nee Harnadek) and cherished father of Joseph (Teresa), Karen (Mike) Kreibich and Debra. Loving and proud grandfather of Michael Kreibich, Alex, Andrew and Matthew Schmidt, Christopher and Nathan Webster. Predeceased by his parents, Eva and Joseph Tenay and sister Hilda Lavery. Henry was an outgoing entrepreneur and established businessman in the Windsor community. He was the proud owner of WM Tool Inc. and remained a key player in the family businesses until his passing. Henry spent his retirement years wintering in Naples, Florida where he enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. During summer months, Henry enjoyed nurturing his vegetable and flower gardens or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. Henry will be fondly remembered by his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Memorial Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
