Obituary of Leona Bodnarchuk

BODNARCHUK, Leona (nee Sklaruk) Our beloved Mother Leona passed away on her 90 th birthday February 12, 2009 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Beloved Wife of the late Paul Bodnarchuk (Feb. 17/99). Loving Mother of Christina and husband Al Karpenko, Adeline Bodnarchuk, Helene Bodnarchuk, Janice Mayea and partner Ron Pracey, Ilene and husband Richard Blanchard. Dear Baba to Cameron, Marie, Rodney, Theresa and David and the late Alex (2003). Dear Great Baba to Tyler, Sarah, Lucas and Aiden. Dear sister of Donald Sklaruk of Saskatchewan, predeceased by Polly, Kay, Bill, Helen, Nick and Mary. Leona was a retiree of G. M. Trim Plant. She was a dedicated member and volunteer of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral and a member of the Lesia Ukrainka Branch Windsor, a past volunteer of Hospice and a past member of the Windsor Seniors Club. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda Friday at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (2000 Tecumseh Rd. E.) from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or the St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. A special thanks to Dr. I. McLeod, Dr. G. Jasey, Dr. S.
