For 58 years Linda and I exchanged news and views, laughs and tears, joy and sadness, via airmail and e-mail. Linda was a good friend and I will miss our exchanges so much. I now regret not having taken the opportunity to meet Linda when she visited Janet and her family Christmas 2007 (?). The adventure of travelling from England to Canada in 1966 to attend her wedding to Bill was made all the more pleasurable by the kind welcome your grandparents and Linda and Pat gave me. I always intended to return to visit Linda and your lovely country. She was very proud of her daughters and grand children and I am very proud to have been able to call her 'my friend in Canada'. Her kindness and thoughtfulness has passed on to Karen and Janet. John and I am sending our love and best wishes to you both and your families, and also to Pat and John.
